Eintracht Frankfurt vs Arsenal: Europa League preview

Frankfurt vs Arsenal
Europa League Group F
5:55pm Thursday September

Eintracht Frankfurt head trainer Adi Hutter insists his side can’t read a lot into Arsenal’s second-half capitulation in Watford on Sunday.
The Gunners were held as they conceded 31 shots after reaching a direct.
They travel to Germany to confront Eintracht as the two sides meet in their Europa League Group F clash.
Prior to the Blues went on to beat Arsenal at the last, eintracht, that lost on penalties to Chelsea in the semi-finals of the year’s contest, will be eager to show they can compete despite a summer of change.
Sebastien Haller, attacking trio Luka Jovic and Ante Rebic accounted for 56 of the 90 goals scored by the club last season but all have been marketed throughout the summertime.
However, Hutter believes his side could continue to build on where they left off if he fails to expect Arsenal to be as bad as they were at the weekend.
«I saw the match from Watford,» he explained. «They were lucky to haven’t lost after a 2-0 lead. I would not tie everything. They attempt to play football from the back.
«Their doctrine is clearly recognisable and I presume they will perform so.
«On the flip side, we need a very clear plan and we’ve got both the solutions and the resources.»
Hutter also surrendered that expectation has increased after an unexpected run into the previous four but believes everyone in the club remains grounded.
«Certainly the expectations have increased,» he added.
«The last season was exceptional with the semi-final plus a total of 14 games. The bar is high, but we remain modest and want to get as far as possible.
«Because of our achievements and the fact that we nearly reached the final we’re perceived differently.»
Eintracht are while Swansea City player Jonathan de Guzman misses out due to a problem that is muscular without Mijat Gacinovic, that was injured in training last week.
Following an Achilles tendon ruptured, while Goncalo Paciencia and Sebastian Rode are both doubts, marco Russ is ruled out.
Arsenal don’t have any new injury concerns as they bid to get back to winning ways.
Alexandre Lacazette is together using all the Frenchman after picking up a knee injury prior to the recent global 27, ruled out for a few months.
Kieran Tierney, Hector Bellerin and dinos Mavropanos are back in training with all the first-team squad but are still not prepared to come back to Unai Emery’s matchday squad.
This will be the first competitive meeting between Arsenal along with Eintracht Frankfurt.
Eintracht 3 meetings with competitions have level, with the side drawing before being eliminated on penalties.
Arsenal have lost their last four matches from competitions that were German, scoring and conceding 13 in the process.
In Champions League and Europa League united, Arsenal haven’t been removed at the first group stage as the 1999-00 Champions League.
Adding qualifiers, Eintracht Frankfurt are unbeaten in their last 16 home games in European opposition (W12 D4), since a 1-2 defeat against Palermo from the 2006-07 UEFA Cup.
God only knows what defence Unai Emery will pick. I really don’t know we will need to mention it. They are great as will be the youngsters, moving forward. The balance from midfield to front isn’t bad , but it is frightening how awful Arsenal are.
What is the allure to Sokratis Papastathopoulos? I would play with Kieran Tierney on Thursday and see whether Hector Bellerin could start. Regarding Sunday’s match against Watford, when you visit David Luiz giving directions with 20 minutes to go, you know you are in trouble.
Konstantinos Mavropanos remains game time off from being fit. If Shkodran Mustafi was to be brought back it would be the conclusion . We will need to have Tierney, Bellerin and Rob Holding back to the side whenever possible. I play with these players to provide them game time and allow them to get fit fitness and would take a bang.
Nicolas Pepe was dreadful against Watford. The Way Emery took Mesut Ozil and Dani Ceballos off ahead of him was past me. It’s beginning to effect Ainsley Maitland-Niles and some of the players that are young. Joe Willock and reiss Nelson arrived and couldn’t retain the ball.
It’s the duty of the manager. He must solve this and develop a conclusion about the best way best to sort this out. Tierney, Bellerin, and Holding should play I’d play them and have a defeat if it meant they got the match time they desired.
