Junior Solheim Cup: Team USA beat Team Europe 13-11 at Gleneagles

Team USA survived a fightback out of Team Europe to claim a fourth Successive Triumph.

13-11 winners in the two-day occasion ran at Gleneagles, extending their unbeaten run in the competition that stretches back since Europe’s ultimate success in 2007.
America held a 7.5-4.5 advantage after drawing on the foursomes 3-3 and also winning the fourballs 4.5-1.5 on the launching day, before claiming five and a half points out of the 12 singles matches to successfully retain the trophy.
«It had been quite the success,» American captain Mary Bea Porter-King explained. «It moved up and down all day, they were forward, then behind. I am tired and I did not hit a shot.
«I’m very proud of my group, there was not a lot I could do to assist them, these young girls are so gifted, on each side.»
Europe took good advantage of the matches, with Hannah Darling from Lucy Li and Annabell Fuller, Amalie Leth-Nissen and Pia Babnik winning their fixtures, catching a half-point.
Rose Zhang obtained USA’s first win over the board after beating Alessia Nobilio on the hole, while successes for Amanda Sambach along with Briana Chacon took them.
Victories to Benedetta Moresco and Lucie Malchirand closed the edge, until the visitors closed out the win when Brianna Navarrosa conquer Mimi Rhodes 1up.
